My Dear Parishioners,
Catholic Charities is upon us for the year 2015. I am again asking that you consider your gift to this very worthy cause that reaches to every corner of our Archdiocese. Every Catholic’s call is to care for the poor. The Gospel says that we will be judged in the end according to our response to God’s poor.
Catholic Charities Sunday is January 25. Our theme is taken from the words of Blessed Mother Teresa, “It is not how much we Give, but how much Love we put into giving.”
Archbishop Rodi has mailed each household a personal invitation to give and enclosed a pledge card that affords you the opportunity to respond generously to this year’s Catholic Charities Appeal.
Just in case you did not get that mailing, I have attached a brochure, pledge card and a link to the video that describes some of the many works Catholic Charities attends to during the year.
This weekend, please welcome our speaker, Deacon Bill Harkins. Please be generous and do not pass up the opportunity to care for the many that need our assistance.
May God bless you and St. Dominic Parish during this special time of generosity.
Sincerely in Christ
Fr. Jim Cink
